Raymond, Russell and Michele
The Cheerful Soul opens in Marlow with TISSL
Michele English and Russell Clement, winners of BBC Two's programme, The Restaurant, have opened their new restaurant, The Cheerful Soul in the Hare & Hounds, in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and have chosen TISSL to be their EPOS provider.
The couple worked with the TISSL EPOS Solution during production of the addictive BBC series. After winning the contest they spent time training with Raymond Blanc and looking for the perfect site for their first restaurant.
"The Hare & Hounds has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and feels like the perfect home for The Cheerful Soul," says Michele.
"Marlow, in the heart of the country, is perfectly located to allow us access to some of the best quality local producers Britain has to offer," commented Russell. "Our British brasserie style menu will change bi-monthly to follow the seasons. I'm really looking forward to exploring the possibilities of the local produce. On the menu we will be rediscovering some forgotten recipes alongside firm favourites. Dishes on the opening menu include Pressed Ham Terrine with Cauliflower Piccalilli and Devonshire Scone Panperdy with Strawberries and Clotted Cream"

TISSL are delighted to have been chosen to accompany Russell and Michele in their exciting new venture and we wish them the best of luck for the future!

Rental Programme
New rental programme launched to help hospitality operators in challenging times
TISSL are launching a new rental scheme to allow hospitality operators to benefit from their system with minimal financial outlay. This is set to give new clients a much-needed boost in the current challenging economic climate, with the TISSL solution available from as little as £25 per week per terminal.
A recent survey of top management in the Food and Beverage industry carried out by Allegra revealed that senior managers identify cost control and customer service excellence as being key to survival in the recession*. In this respect an EPOS system is an indispensable business tool. Often seen as ‘just a till’ the EPOS system is frequently overlooked in the context of business control, growth and profitability. In addition to this, a full system can represent a significant capital outlay and may, therefore, not be high on an operator’s current list of priorities.
In launching the rental scheme, TISSL are making cutting-edge technology available to some of those operators who may be the most likely to suffer when times are hard. Tools such as Loyalty and Membership are particularly useful when client spend is difficult to maintain, and the higher levels of security provided by an integrated EPOS system help to cut down on theft of stock and cash.
“Challenging times require new solutions,” explains Kevin Coetzee, Managing Director of TISSL. “Our system is proven to increase turnover and profit by improving operating efficiency and reducing costs and shrinkage. In offering a rental option we are making this highly sophisticated business tool accessible to businesses that may not otherwise be in a position to commit financially to changing their system.”
